Dr. Hokyeong Rhee is one of the founders of the DAAD Information Centre Seoul – she has been working for the DAAD since 2000, counseling in the areas of international exchange and study programmes in Korea and Germany. She studied at Yonsei University where she also received her PhD. In 1997, she did research at the Humboldt University Berlin, funded by a research grant of the Korean Ministry of Education. From 1993 to 2003, she held a teaching position at the Department of German Language and Literature of Yonsei University. Her research interests include Heinrich Böll, Bertold Brecht and Gender Studies.
